Troy Pearce is a director, writer, and producer who has worked on a variety of projects, including the films The Rover and Animal Kingdom. His latest film, Drone Command, follows a group of soldiers as they operate drones from a remote location. The film has been praised for its realism, its exploration of the ethical implications of drone warfare, and its message about the human cost of war.

In this interview, Pearce talks about the challenges of filming with drones, the ethical implications of drone warfare, and the film's message about the human cost of war.

How did you come up with the idea for Drone Command?

I was reading a lot about drone warfare and I was fascinated by the idea of these soldiers who are operating drones from a remote location. I thought it would be a really interesting setting for a film, and I wanted to explore the ethical implications of drone warfare.

What were some of the challenges of filming with drones?

There were a lot of challenges to filming with drones. One of the biggest challenges was just getting the shots that we wanted. Drones are very difficult to control, and we had to be very careful not to crash them. We also had to be very mindful of the airspace around us, and we had to make sure that we didn't fly into any restricted areas.

What are the ethical implications of drone warfare?

I think there are a lot of ethical implications to drone warfare. One of the biggest issues is the fact that drones can be used to kill people without putting the soldiers who are operating them at risk. This can lead to a lack of accountability, and it can make it difficult to hold people responsible for the deaths of innocent civilians.

What is the film's message about the human cost of war?

I think the film's message is that war always has a human cost. Even if you're not on the front lines, you can still be affected by war. The film follows a group of soldiers who are operating drones, and we see how the war affects them and their families.

What do you hope audiences take away from the film?

I hope audiences take away a better understanding of the human cost of war. I also hope they take away a greater appreciation for the sacrifices that our soldiers make.

What are your plans for the future?

I'm currently working on a new film, but I can't say much about it at this point. I can say that it's
