Joseph Haydn, born in 1732, was the eldest son of Franz Joseph Haydn. At the tender age of six, he joined the choir of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, where he received a rigorous musical education. Johann Haydn, born in 1734, was the youngest son of Franz Joseph Haydn. Like his older brother, Johann displayed an early aptitude for music. He began playing the violin at the age of four and quickly mastered the instrument.

Johann Haydn's extraordinary violin playing attracted the attention of prominent musicians, including the famed violinist Luigi Boccherini. Boccherini became Johann's mentor and helped him develop his skills as a performer and composer.

Johann Haydn's early compositions, such as his violin concertos, were highly praised for their virtuosity and melodic invention. He also wrote a number of operas, which were well received by audiences.

Tragically, Johann Haydn's life was also cut short. In 1764, at the age of 30, he was accidentally poisoned by drinking a cup of contaminated water. His death left the musical world in mourning and deprived it of a promising talent.

Despite their untimely deaths, Joseph and Johann Haydn made significant contributions to the world of classical music. Their early achievements as child prodigies demonstrated the extraordinary potential that exists within young musicians.
