Early Life and Education

Ansel was born in Marietta, Georgia, on February 12, 1949, to William and Mary Hatch. He grew up in a close-knit family, alongside his two sisters, Susan and Nancy. Ansel attended Sprayberry High School, where he excelled both academically and socially.

Ansel was a gifted student, consistently earning top marks in his classes. He was also a talented athlete, playing on the Sprayberry football team and earning varsity letters in both football and baseball.

College and Career

After graduating from Sprayberry High School, Ansel attended the University of Georgia, where he majored in business. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and actively involved in campus life.

Upon graduating from college, Ansel returned to Marietta and began his career in the insurance industry. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a successful insurance executive. Ansel was known for his strong work ethic, his integrity, and his unwavering commitment to his clients.

Community Involvement

Ansel was a dedicated member of his community. He served on the board of directors for several local organizations, including the Marietta Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA. He was also a devoted member of his church, where he taught Sunday school for many years.

Ansel was a true friend to all who knew him. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and loved. He was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Ansel was the kind of person who would go the extra mile to help others, whether it was volunteering his time, donating to a worthy cause, or simply offering a word of encouragement.

Legacy

Ansel Hatch passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda; his two children, William and Mary; and his four grandchildren. Ansel's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched throughout his lifetime.

Ansel Hatch was a true Sprayberry High School legend. He was a shining example of what it means to be a successful, compassionate, and dedicated individual. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire Sprayberry community.
