Rusty Nails Visiting Cousins
Rusty Nails was excited. He was going to visit his cousins for the first time. He had never met them before, but he had heard so much about them from his parents. They were all about the same age, and they loved to play just as much as Rusty did.

Rusty's parents drove him to his grandma's house, where his cousins were staying. When they got there, Rusty saw three kids playing in the front yard. They were all different sizes, but they all had the same sandy hair and bright blue eyes as Rusty.
"Those must be your cousins," Rusty's mom said. "Go say hello."
Rusty took a deep breath and walked over to the kids. "Hi," he said. "I'm Rusty."
The kids stopped playing and looked at Rusty. "We're your cousins," the oldest one said. "I'm Billy, and this is Sally and Tommy."
Rusty smiled. "It's nice to meet you," he said.
The kids started playing again, and Rusty joined in. They played tag and hide-and-seek and chased each other around the yard. Rusty had so much fun playing with his cousins. He felt like he had known them his whole life.
After a while, it was time for lunch. Rusty's grandma called the kids inside. They all sat down at the table and ate hot dogs and hamburgers. Rusty talked to his cousins about their school and their friends. He learned that they all liked the same things he did, like playing sports and watching movies.
After lunch, the kids went outside to play again. They played on the swing set and the slide. They also built a fort out of blankets and chairs. Rusty had so much fun playing with his cousins. He didn't want to leave.
But eventually, it was time for Rusty to go home. He said goodbye to his cousins and promised to come back and visit again soon. Rusty's parents drove him home, and he couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had had.
Rusty's parents were happy to see that he had had such a good time. They told him that they were glad he had met his cousins and that they hoped he would stay in touch with them.
Rusty knew that he would. He had made new friends, and he couldn't wait to see them again.
The end.
