Instructions

Baby Size

With US 7 needles, cast on 96 stitches.
Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
Work in Rib Stitch (k1, p1) for 10 rounds.
Change to US 8 needles.
Work in Stockinette Stitch (k every row) for 5 rounds.
Work in Rib Stitch for 10 rounds.
Bind off all stitches.

Child Size

With US 7 needles, cast on 112 stitches.
Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
Work in Rib Stitch (k1, p1) for 10 rounds.
Change to US 8 needles.
Work in Stockinette Stitch (k every row) for 5 rounds.
Work in Rib Stitch for 10 rounds.
Bind off all stitches.

Adult Small Size

With US 7 needles, cast on 128 stitches.
Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
Work in Rib Stitch (k1, p1) for 10 rounds.
Change to US 8 needles.
Work in Stockinette Stitch (k every row) for 5 rounds.
Work in Rib Stitch for 10 rounds.
Bind off all stitches.

Adult Large Size

With US 7 needles, cast on 144 stitches.
Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
Work in Rib Stitch (k1, p1) for 10 rounds.
Change to US 8 needles.
Work in Stockinette Stitch (k every row) for 5 rounds.
Work in Rib Stitch for 10 rounds.
Bind off all stitches.

Finishing

Weave in all loose ends.
Fold the brim of the balaclava up to cover the forehead and ears.
